Hi, after some smaller tutorial project with my arduino uno, I want to use a 5V .I am looking for an Arduino-compatible RFID reader supporting ISO 11784 & 11785, in order to . Hi, after some smaller tutorial project with my arduino uno, I want to use a 5V 134.2 kHZ rfid reader to read animal tags (these are usually working at 134.2 kHz). So I have a reading module similar to this one: 5V RFID…
I am looking for an Arduino-compatible RFID reader supporting ISO 11784 & 11785, in order to read tags used for animals (mostly cats and dogs) identification. I found both RMD660 and and Sniffer Nano v2.0 from ITead Studio, but they are out of stock. Is there any alternative? This low frequency, fixed reader is ISO 11784/5 compliant and thus able to read all FDX B and HDX RFID tags. The reader is designed with several advanced functions and tailored specially for continuous operation in harsh environments found in feeding stations, animal scales or . I am trying to create a reader that can read my cat's chip. I bought this sensor on Amazon here(LINK). I tried to configure it, but I am not receiving any data from the RX serial port.
In theory based on the Ebay ad 134.2K AGV RFID Long Range Animal Tag Embed Reader Module TTL FDX-B ISO11784/ 85 | eBay should be able to read those ear tags from a max of 36cm. I'll let you know what I actually get. RDM660 is designed for reading codes from 134.2kHz RFID cards or tags and supports HTS-H32, HTS-48, and HTS-56 card types. It is compatible with the ISO11784/85 protocol.
134.2 kHz is the international standard frequency for animals, primarily livestock and cattle as described in ISO 11784/11785. The standard allows different manufacturers to make tags and readers that work together so a wide range of products are available.134.2 kHz LF Long Range Fixed RFID Reader. The 134 kHz LF long range fixed reader is designed for harsh environments and features a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) that greatly reduces noise interference. Add to quote. SKU: 212007.The TWN4 MultiTech Core is designed for integration into machines or any other device to be used with an external antenna (125 kHz/134.2 kHz, 13.56 MHz or both). These reader modules have a read/write range of up to 100 meters.

If an RFID-tag is in range the blue led will light up and there should be bytes output on the serial. I added an extra TTL converter to get the reset pin to ground, which will reset the RFID. This way I can see how long the tag is still in range.
